Steps Toward Web Site Development

Step 1: Consultation and Gathering

In the first step we identify your objectives and needs, then focus on how to deliver results to meet them. We gather this information to begin developing ideas and concepts, then organize the information into a variety of solutions, options, and design directions.

To aid in the process of web site development and prior to a first consultation with our clients, we will provide you with a pre-consultation worksheet. This will help you to assess your goals and organize your initial thoughts for your web site. Planning for target markets and consistent themes between online and offline business are also important considerations at this stage.

Step 2:  Development and Implementation

Next, Web Work Resources develops a proposal based upon discussed goals and ideas for your site. Upon reaching an agreed upon direction/design regarding concepts, architecture and marketing, we begin development. It is at this time that we will need to collect all of your product/service and company information, images for scanning, and other necessary resources to implement within the site's design.

Once the underlying structure is built and its functionality tested, you will review your site online. As graphics and content are built into the site, you will continually be able to view the progress of your site allowing for your input throughout the design process.

Step 3:  Marketing and Maintenance

Once your site's development is complete, the full marketing process will begin. Though you need to continually market and promote you web site, the initial marketing campaign is very important since you will be launching your newly designed site to the world for the first time.

The maintenance of your site is extremely important, and we believe that web site marketing and maintenance go hand in hand. A web site must offer information that is accurate and up-to-date.  WebWork Resources offers maintenance programs for your site. Please contact us for further information.
